Yingtan Industrial Zone

With a view to create a better environment for the development of industry and invite outside investment, three industrial zones have been set up one after another during the recent years in Yingtan with a total planned area of 52 square kilometers.

They are Yingtan Industrial Zone, Guixi Industrial Zone and Yujiang Industrial Zone.

Yingtan Industrial Zone was established on June 15,2001 and built in July 2002. The Municipal Party Committee and Municipality made an adjustment to the zone in September 2003, to endow the zone with the power of administration in county party and economy to its popedom. It upgraded to a provincial industrial zone under the official sanction by the provincial government in March 2006.

The zone is located at the southwest suburb of Yingtan City,3 kilometers from the downtown, affiliated to the planned area of Gaoqiao District. It is in the joint point of Zhejiang-Jiangxi Railway, Anhui-Jiangxi Railway and Yingtan-Xiamen Railway. State Road 320(Shanghai-Kunming) spreads through the zone from east to west laterally, and State Road 206(Lianyungang-Shantou) from south to north longitudinally. What’s more, it is close to the Highways of Shanghai-Ruili(in Yunnan), Dongying(Shangdong)-Jiulong(Hongkong), Jingdezhen-Yingtan (under construction) and the Longhushan Scenery Area.

On the whole, facilities for supply of power, water, telephone service, road traffic and cable TV, drainage and blowdown are all available. And the land has been leveled as well. The road system in the district takes the form of chessboard like network, basically building”4 lengthways and 4 laterals”. The water supply is sufficient with fine quality; it can ensure the normal use of electricity in the zone; the district is equipped with program-controlled telephone, fax, mobile· telephone, internet, cable television and other service systems for contacting with the outside; split-flow between rain and sewage has been effected. The engineering of making the zone greener and brighter is also being implemented in an all-round way. The zone mainly develops the trades of processing of copper products and garments，making of glasses and water meters and assembling of microelement and automobile，which are forming characteristic industrial cluster step by step.So far about 109 enterprises have setled down in Yingtan Industrial Park，including 80 industrial enterprises and 29 non-industrial ones.Among the industrial enterprises，there are 39 enterprises that have been put into production，17 under constructionand 18 that will be built.Such industries as pharmacy，chemistry，copper processing and optical glasses making take the lead；such industries as food industries，garment advance side by side.As a result a setup has been basically formed.

In 2006，the zone achieved an income of RMB 2.6 billion from its main business，which was four times as it was in 2005；it realized gross regional product of RMB 0.9 billion and fiscal revenue of RMB 46.75 million，both of which was doubled as it was in 2005.The area of new-founded workshop amounted to 150 thousand square meters.

The zone has complete departments and provides one-stop service for the enterprises into the zone.Once the investors sign the contracts of investment projects and provide necessary certificates and papers，the zone will complete the examination and approval of the project within fixed time and go through the formalities of tax registration，opening bank accounts，registration in Administration of Industry&Commerce and applying for the right to import and export their own products for them.Furthermore，the zone also provides some preferential policies，such as preferential tax and land-use，no fee system after paid the tax and supporting policies.

It is regarded as one of the parks that Jiangxi Province will focus to expand in the Eleventh Five-year Plan of Industrial Zones of Jiangxi.Yingtan is a copper capital and the hometown of glasses.Depending on this advantage，Yingtan Industrial Park should emphasize to develop copper fabrication，aid to develop garment industry and make significant effort to promote glasses industry.It is supposed to take industry cluster as direction，strengthen preponderant and key enterprises，optimize industrial arrangement，impel industrial congregation，accomplish industrial upgrade，increaseeconomic volume of industry，improve industrial level and core competition of the park.Until 2010，it will try to fulfill sale revenue of RMB 10 billion.
