Listening to Bamboo Sound in Study Room of Yamen is a famous painting made by Zheng Banqiao, which is named because Zheng Banqiao served as Magistrate of Wei County at the time of creation. Zheng Banqiao was a famous calligrapher, painter and writer in the mid Qing Dynasty, with another name of Zheng Xie and alias of Banqiao. As a native of Xinghua(in today’s Jiangsu), he served as Magistrate of Fan County and Magistrate of Wei County（within administrative division of Caozhou at that time）in Shandong.Hesold paintings in Yangzhou before and after he took official career.He was good at poetry，calligraphy and painting.His paintings of bamboo and cymbidium are most famous.He is the most infuencing master among Eight.
Eccentrics of Yangzhou.and other graphemes are the most basic unit for painting of bamboo.They combine into groups of bamboo.
