1 min readThe official schools of the Qing Dynasty were the same as those of the Ming Dynasty.
Some special schools were set up，including schools for people of imperial lineage，and Mathematics Schools，which actually taught both mathematics and astronomy.
When Emperor Kangxi governed China，he even permitted a Russian School.
During the Qing Dynasty，academies of classical learning switched from private schools to official schools.They became large organizations，similar to public universities today.There were three types of classical learning academies.One was for participation in the imperia examination，one was for research of Confucianism’s idealistic philosophy of the Song and Ming Dynasties，and the other was for literature and history.
The Imperial Examination during this period was similar to that of the Ming Dynasty，with three levels.
