Bulunkul lake

Bulunkou Town in Akto County can be called the”town of a thousand lakes”. The pearl-like lakes scatter in numerous ditches and valleys of the Pamirs like the fairy sending flowers, and Bulunkul Lake is one of them. Owing to the location of far away from the Sino-Pakistan Highway, Bulunkul Lake is not as famous as the Karakul lake, but it is just like an uncut jade, fascinating the tourists by its virginity and nature without a slightest artificial trace. It is like a pearl hanging on the pamirs to show its brightness and fragrance.

” Bulunkul” means “the lake at the foot of the mountain ” in the Kyrgyz language. The lofty blue sky, white clouds, snow-capped mountains, and glaciers have always been protecting the maidenly sanctity of Bulunkul Lake like a white jade Screen. The water shines silver light and reflects the snow-capped mountains, and the region is just like a crystal world.

The omnipotent nature has set many mysteries in the pamirs and bulunkul lake is one of the mysteries. The lake is not only the paradise for birds and fish, but also a world of plants and flowers in the lakeside, where reeds and waterweeds grow in lush. But in the Karakul Lake only about ten kilometers away in straight line, the difference is quite bi there is not one bird on the water surface, not one fish at the bottom and not one wisp of grass in the water.
