Dawakun Desert Scenic Spot is located in the Yuepuhu County in Kashi Prefecture, connecting with an oasis in the north and adjoining the Buguli Desert; there is a natural lake in the desert, and the rippling water and skies merge in one color. There are well arranged beach villas, European huts, and yurts on the lakeside; standing on the southeastern shore of the lake, one can enjoy the vast desert. This is a new tourist attraction in Kashi, and was named “Chinese Desert Scenery Tourist Town” by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China.
Yingerlike Desert Oasis Scenic Spot
Yingerlike Desert Oasis Scenic Spot is located in the southern edge of Taklimakan Desert 20km northwest of Hetian. The undulating sand dunes stretch to the horizon like waves, and it is really a golden world. In the south of the sand dunes, there is the rippling Yingerlike reservoir. Fishermen would fish in the reservoir, and tourists may boat among the green waves. Nearby the reservoir, there is the regular bench border forest, showing the desert oasis scenery. It’s definitely a different sensation to view the desert sunrise and sunset here.
