Tiantong Temple

Tiantong Temple is located at the foot of Taibai Mountain in Ningbo The temple was built in 300，and thus it has a history of more than 1，710 years.As a holy place of Buddhism，Tiantong Temple plays an important role in the cultural exchanges between China and Japan and it is well-known in south-east Asian countries.There are more than 20 ancient buildings including Hall of Heavenly King，House of Buddhist Texts，Arhat Hall，Hall of Buddhist Abbot，and Buddha’s Hall The temple originally had 999 rooms，730 of which survive，occupying 58，000 square meters.All the halls and houses are connected with a long corridor.When you enter the temple，no matter whether it is sunny or rainy，you will not worry about the weather，and can reach anywhere of the temple，which represents the unique ingenuity of the constructors.
