Lu Shan Transportation
2 min readAirport- The closest airport is at Changbei in Xinjian County, but there are no shuttle buses to Lu Shan from there. Taking a taxi from Changbei to Lu Shan will take an hour.
BusGet tickets to Jiujiang from a booth off Guling Jie, then take the tunnel and make a left turn. The Nanchang Bus Depot is opposite this tunnel on Hexi Lu. Buses to Lu Shan from Jiujiang depart from the Yangtze River Ferry Terminal and the long-distance bus station. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Jiujiang and there are many buses everyday,tickets are around RMB 7. Going to Nanchang will take 2.5 hours and tickets are about RMB 35.
Scenic stopoffs abound at Lu Shan, but there’s a lot of ground to cover. Take a minibus for a daylong tour of some of the spectacular sites further away from Guling. There are two tour options to choose from; both cost RMB 100. They’ll head to the main scenic sights like Zither Lake, Immortal Cave, Dragon Head Cliff, Poyang Lake and the Sandiequan Falls.
Taxi Taxis are very convenient at Lu Shan; full-size taxis are RMB 7 at flag-fall and compact taxis are RMB 5.
Train From the Lushan Train Station there are shuttle buses to the mountains for RMB 7. Many trains don’t stopover at the Lushan Train Station, so passengers get off at Nanchang or Jiujiang Stations where they take a long-distance bus into Lu Shan. There are trains from Lu Shan to Beijing, Chongqing, Nanchang Shanghai and Wuhan.
