Black Sesame Tea

This tea nourishes the blood, liver, and kidneys and cures bouts of dizziness. It is often prescribed for premature gray hair, pain in the knees, and pain in the lumbar region of the back.

1 teaspoon (5 grams) black sesame seeds

½ teaspoon (2.5 grams) green tea leaves

1 cup (250 milliliters) water

Heat a dry wok or frying pan and roast the sesame seeds in it for 1 minute. Remove the sesame seeds from the wok. Grind them into a powder using a grinder or a mortar and pestle. Mix the powder and the tea leaves together. Bring the water to a boil. Pour the boiling water over the sesame–tea mixture, cover, and brew for 5 minutes.
