Natural colored cotton products in Changji

Over the years, Xinjiang has been seeking both the advancement in “quantity”of the cotton production and the improvement in “quality”. The agricultural scientific and technological strength in Xinjiang has always been committed to enhance the scientific and technological content of cotton, and to develop new planting technologies; technologies of balanced fertilization, computerized decision-making and water-saving cultivation have been widely promoted and used, making the yield higher than the national average yield.

In addition to the ordinary white cotton Xinjiang has also nurtured the long stapled cotton that can grow normally at low temperatures, the natural colored cotton, organic cotton and other new varieties. The world’s largest colored cotton production base is in Xinjiang, accounting for 95% of the total colored cotton yield in China, and 1/2 or so of the whole world.
