Tangshan chee Hsin(oixin) Cement Industry Museum

The Qixin Cultural Creation Industrial Park is a key landscape and important part of Tangshan’s key project. The overall renovation of the Chee Hsin(Qixin) Cement plant area, covers a ground area of 94.5 mu and a building area of 51,000 square meters with planned investment of RMB 350 million.

Its four kilns(from No.4 to No.8),a wooden platform, an old power plant,a bathroom and other old structures built before 1943 with high historical and cultural value will be renovated into the Chinese Modern Industry Museum according to the principle of “restoring the old like its original”. In addition, new structures will absorb culturalele-ments and mix them into the existing parts.

Finally, the area will be forged into an industrial park featuring industrial tourism and cultural creation through the clustering of culture, photography and art studios, upscale pubs and other creative projects. Upon its completion, the industrial park will not only promote the 120-year history of Chee HsinCement Company Limited but also fill a blank in the research and dissemination of cement history. The Chinese Mod-ern Industry Museum has been built and opened to the public and construction of the second phase is accelerating.
