White Swan Hotel is a 28-story luxury hotel in Guangzhou,Guangdong,China.The hotel is located on the Shamian Island,overlooking the Pearl River and facing the White Swan Pool.
All of the hotel’s well-designed 843 rooms and suites are equipped with feature luxurious bedding,color televisions,refrigerators and high-speed Internet access.
History Since opening on February 6,1983,the Guangzhou White Swan Hotel has received over 40 heads of state and government,including Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom,President Bush of the United States,Chancellor Kohl of Germany,Kissinger,Castro Ruz,Sihanouk and Lee Kuan Yew.Mr.Deng Xiaoping,chief architect of China’s reform and opening-up,paid historic visits to White Swan Hotel three times and he wrote an inscription for the hotel.It’s a unique one among so many star-rated hotels.
The hotel was accepted as the first Chinese member of”The Leading Hotels of the World”on July 1,1985,and was appointed 5 stars by the Chinese Government in February 1990.
The White Swan Hotel topped”China’s 50 best hotels”in 1996.It was named “China’s best well-known hotel”in 2008.
