1 min readThe Elephant Trunk Hill is a landmark and tourist attraction in Guilin,Guangxi,China.Elephant Trunk Hill is the symbol of Guilin.It got its name because it looks like an drinking water elephant.The round opening that would be under the elephant’s trunk is known as Water-Moon Cave because at night the refection of themoon can be seen through the arch and it looks like floating on the surface of thewater.Elephant Trunk Hill and Water-Moon Cave are located at the confluence of the Taohua River and the Lijiang River.On the top of the hill there is a two-storey pagoda constructed in the Ming Dynasty.On the north seat of the second floor is an image of Bodhisattva Puxian.Seen from afar,the pagoda seems like a precious vase on the back of an elephant;plenty of moving legends about the pagoda are said and passed on.
