A solitary peak,Fubo Hill stands lonely and elegantly half on the land and half on the water,located on the west of Li River.It is 63 meters in height,60 metersin width.Because the water flowing by become swirl,hence its name“Wave-Subduing” Hill.There is the Xinxi Marquis Temple built during the Tang Dynasty on the hill.
As the title of Xinxi Marquis was given to Fubo General Ma Yuan,therefore it is called Fubo Hill.Standing on the top of the hill one can see a splendid view much like a traditional Chinese painting.Pearl-Returning Cave also known as Fubo Cave is on the southern slope of the hill.250 Buddhist statues and more than 100 carved inscriptions during different periods are hold here.Most of the statues are createdduring Tang and Song Dynasties.The most famous carving is a self-portrait of Mi Fu,a noted painter who lived in the Song Dynasty.
Location To the northeast of downtown Guilin nearby the Li River.
