In early spring, more than 100 swans which spent winter on the Peacock River flying freely between buildings in Korla, creating the most beautiful scenery of the city. The swan guards are specially gathered by the garden department to protect these fairy birds around the clock.
Not just the swans are worth mentioning in Korla.
It is difficult to distinguish which is better known between “Korla City” and “Korla Pear”, they may be complementary. Korla is the second largest city ranking only second to Urumqi. Korla Pear is the only kind of fruit that can be exported to United States, Canada,Australia and other high-end international markets.
