Zhenhai is located in the mid-section of the coastline of China，along the south wing of the Yangtze River Delta and at the Yong River’s entrance to the East China Sea.It covers an area of 218 square kilometers with a population of 210，000.It has a coastline of 21 kilometers.The transportation here is especially convenient.Since very ancient time，it has enjoyed the reputation of“the East Door of Zhe jiang Province.”

Through many years of development，Zhenhai has basically formed a regional economic development system of machinery，electronics，light industry，textile，fine chemical，etc.In 2013，Zhenhai’s national GDP has amounted to 61.151 billion yuan and the financial revenue reached 8.251 billion yuan.The per capita disposable income of rural and urban inhabitant were 22，605 yuan and 41，729 yuan respectively.The export-oriented economy in Zhenhai is developing rapidly.In 2013，Zhenhai has totally approved 24 foreign-invested projects，with a total foreign capital of 280 million USD.The import and export volume of Zhenhai in 2013 has achieved 6.799 billion USD.
