1 min readTraditional Chinese musical instruments can be mainly classified into three categories:sare string, wind and percussion. Their representative instruments are the Xun, Xiao, Sheng,ipa, Guqin,rum,izi, and Chinese Chimes, among which the most ancient Chinese musical instrument is the Xun, an egg-shaped 6-holes porcelain wind instrument developed in the Shang and Zhou dynasties. The Xun is full of the special charm of that period, with its special features of primitive simplicity, vigor, gloom, vicissitude, mystery and sadness.
The Xun is good at expressing pathetic feelings, and solemn, remote and sad effects, and has always been regarded as a special musical instrument.
