1 min readThe Badaling Great Wall built in the 18th year(1505)during the reign of Hong Zhi,one of the emperor in the Ming Dynasty(1368~1644),is located in northwest part of Beijing,about 80 km(50 miles)far from the city centre.It’s length is about 7,600 meters(4.7 miles).The Badaling Great Wall is the most magnificen part among the whole Great Wall.The wall is on average 7.8 meters(26 feets)tall and 5.7 meters(19 feets)wide,which can let 5 horses to dash abreast and 10 men to go side by side.The outside of wall with tall granite slabs are very firm and manful.There is a watchtower which is usually a right-angle,2 storeyed floor buil as an integral part of the fort.Badaling has the most satisfactory tour servicesamong the whole Great Wall,including a circular-screen cinema,Great Wall Museum,shopping and dining site,as well as barrier-free structures for the disabled.
