Beihai Park is one of the largest Chinese gardens consisting of numerous historically important structures,palaces and temples.The park got its present look after several restorations including a large scale refurbishment during Emperor Qianlong period,Qing Dynasty.Beihai Park occupies an area of 69 hectares with 39 hectares being water.The landmark of the park is the White Pagoda standing on Qinghua Island.The White Pagoda was built at the request of the Tibetan Lam Naomuhan in 1651,Emperor Shunzhi period.The white color,elegant shape,and typical Tibetan style make it famous.It is considered as the most famous Lama pagoda in Beijing.The pagoda takes the shape of a huge white vase when it is seen from afar.The most fabulous attractions in the park are the Chamber of Paining Boat,the Chamber of Tranquil Heart,the Hall of the Heavenly King,The Hall of Fast Snow,the Screen of Nine Dragons,and the Xiao Xi Tian.

Transportation

Take bus No.101,10,812,846 to the south gate of the park.

Take bus No.107,111,118,701,823 to the north gate of the park.

Take bus No.5 to the east gate of the park.
