Bo’ao Oriental Culture Garden

Bo’ao Oriental Culture Garden is located in the water city of Bo’ao Town，Qinghai City，Hainan Province.It is across the water to the permanent site of Bo’ao Forum for Asia，with a total construction area of 60thousand square meters.It is the cultural symbol of Bo’ao and also the best scene of Hainan human geography.Bo’ao Oriental Culture Garden iscomposed of the Bo’ao Temple and the Oriental Culture Theme Park.

Bo’ao Temple is constructed according to formal Buddhist temple’s building regulation.Along the north-south axis，there are Tonghui Gate，King Hall，Puji Hall，the main halland the Ten-thousand-Buddha Pagoda.And on the east and west are Bell Tower，east-west side hall s，abbot’s residence，guest hall，monk’s quarters.Puji Hall worships the twelve statues of distinctive”Twelve Chinese zodiac signs of Avalokitesvara”.The altitude of the Ten-thousand-Buddha Pagoda is 77 meters，and the pagoda itself is 55 meters high，which isthe tallest building in Bo’ao area.Inside there is a 16.8-meter-high bronze Avalokitesvara，with thousands of hands and eyes，It is rare in Asia.ln addition，there is a copper gold-plating Buddha of Shakyamuni，which is sent by Nepal’s King Gyanendra.

Behind Bo’ao Temple are Oriental Culture Theme Park and the Lotus Pavilion.The Oriental Culture Theme Park is a comprehensive tourist attractions concentrated on the Buddhist culture.The pavilion is a science theme，cultural center，construced according to the professional specification.It shows a comprehensive knowledge of the history of the lotus，culture，science and technology，economic value through digitals.And it cultivates 66 kinds of rare lotus.The most famous and precious one is Dahe with the longevity of thousands of years.
