1 min readCentral Street is the most exotic place in Harbin.It starts from Songhua River Flood Control Monument in the north and ends at the Jing Wei Street in the south,with a total length of 1,450 meters and a width of 21.34 meters.The street was first built in 1898,and called the Chinese Street at the beginning;it did not get its present name until 1925.There are various European style buildings along the Central Street,of which the present Education Bookstore being the biggest form of Baroque architecture in Harbin and also serving as the mark of the street.This building shows classic Renaissance architecture style.As one of the longest pedestrian streets in Asia,Central Street has attracted visitors from every corner of the world to appreciate its charming.
