1 min readThe Chinese philosophy is a philosophy so fixed in the Chinese mind that it can never be erased or replaced completely.The Chinese philosophy has a history of several thousand years and it has become a tradition of the society as a whole Its origins are often traced back to Book of Changes(S22),an ancient compendium of divination,which introduced some of the most fundamental terms of Chinese philosophy.
Itsage can only be roughly estimated(its first flowering is gen erally considered to have been in about the 6th century BC but it draws on an oracular tradition that goes back to neolithic times.Its author has been unknown.The book was later on selected as one of the Five Classics for the Imperial examina tions
In almost at the same time,or no later than Yi Jing,Dao De Jing of lao zi and the analects of Confucius(IL)both appeared,during the days when the greek pre-Socratics were writing During the prosperous Spring and Autumn Period the major schools of thought are ru ,Mo ,Dao ,Ming ,Fa and Yinyang(Each of them has some valuable and interesting things to in troduce.Space limited,this book or any other single one can never give full account.All the same,we should have ataste of some of them.
