According to one of Chinese legends,the tea was discovered some 5,000 years ago by Shennong Shi,whose name literally means Divine Farmer and who is considered to have been one of the Three Sovereigns.Shennong Shi tasted hundreds of plants and got poisoned.He found tea can relieve the toxin in the body.Afterwards the custom of drinking tea was passed down by people.
China is a country with a time-honored civilization and a land of ceremony and decorum.Whenever guests visit,it is necessary to make and serve them with tea.Generally the younger generation always shows its respect to the older generation by offering a cup of tea.At the traditional Chinese marriage ceremony,both the bride and groom serve their parents tea.
