While experiencing the unavoidable cultural exchanges and cultural shock, the villagers seek to live in harmony. In this modern world, the advanced culture of any nation has never been an isolated phenomenon, but the product of wide exchanges with other cultures. Of course, the root and mainstream of any culture must have its own remarkable national character. Cultural exchange doesn’t mean that their culture is swallowed by foreign cultures, but in order to make it rich and colorful. Through cultural exchange, different cultures can absorb and influence one another. Mutual influence is very complex in the field of culture.
Therefore, absorbing foreign culture is a process of taking a bite, chewing and digesting. For foreign cultures, we should get rid of the false and keep the true, and sort out the good from the bad. I don’t think that such a practice will result in the disappearance of the particular features and styles related to particular cultures. Instead, different cultures can learn from each other’s strong points to make up for their weaknesses.
In fact, due to China’s economic development and the raising of the people’s living standard, Chinese people have widened their outlook. Their taste for art has improved. And they have developed more hobbies. They care about Chinese traditional and modern culture and art, and are anxious to learn the trends of cultural development around the world.
