According to the schedule，we’ll visit Dadonghai.As we are approaching thedestination，I would like to introduce to you the Dadonghai Tourist Resort which is located along the bay between Yulin Port and Luhuitou Park，about 2kilometers away from the east of Sanya.Some first-class vacation hotels arestanding along the coastal vacation zone.The bay in crescent shape，the vast sea with shining surface，the seashore with warm sunshine，coconut trees，sea waves，rainbows，clear water，blue sky，sails and soft sand all year round，together with the clean environment and excellent service in the hotels，all kinds of elements of modern vacationing and touring are well presented，which constitute the irresistible attraction of Dadonghai Bay.The peculiar coastal scenery of the tropical region makes the bay more beautiful.People simply couldn’t describe in words the satisfaction and comfort they get from swimming leisurely，sunbathing，picking shells，digging for crabs，building sand castles and so on.So every year a great number of tourists are attracted by the natural beauty of Dadonghai.

In winter，the water temperature of Dadonghai is between 18C-22C.With warm water，white sand and flat beach，Dadonghai Tourist Resort has become famous both at home and abroad.It is a beautiful resort for winter swimming and an ideal place for diving and sunbath as well.The beautiful beach began to catch the attention of the world in the middle of the 20th century.After Hainan Province was set up and became a special economic zone in 1988，some luxurious hotels were built and some marine leisure items such as diving，sightseeing submarine and motorboat were created.In 1992，Dadonghai Tourist Resort was listed in the”40 Best National Tourist Attraction”by the StateTourism Administration.If you want some stimulation，try the”Water Playing Paradise”，in which you can jump into the pool directly from the diving platform.But driving a motorboat on the sea is more stimulating and scary but interesting.You can also dive or take a sightseeing submarine called “Mermaid”to experience the wonders in the tropical sea.”Mermaid”is the most advanced sightseeing submarine in the world up till now.It can dive 75 meters deep under the sea with as many as 46 passengers.The great power lights between portholes for sightseeing can provide enough light for enjoying the marine environment.Through the under-water camera，the remote views under the sea can be unfolded before your eyes.

Now let me tell you a legend from the local folks:many many years ago，the local folks around Dadonghai Bay lived a quiet and peaceful life by fishing.The black dragon from Luobi Cave in Sanya was deeply attracted by the sunny beach，the blue water，and the calm sea there.He pleaded with the Dragon King of the South China Sea to lend Dadonghai to him to play and divert himself.The Dragon King agreed.But nobody would have realized that the black dragon had brought with him a typhoon，which had created high waves and swift currents in Dadonghai.That had great effect on the fishing and normal life of the local folks.As a result，the Dragon King of the South China Sea only allowed the black dragon to come once in a while，taking exercises there.Thousands of years have passed，but the black dragon comes here every year in the summer for his vacation and sometimes will break the law and offend us.
