Dali Transportation

Airport-The airport is about 9 miles（15 km）from Xiaguan，and there are daily flights to Kunming.From the airport to Xiaguan by shuttle bus is RMB 5 and by taxi is RMB Bicycle-Bicycles are cheap and easy to rent from guesthouses or any bicycle shop along Bo’ai Lu.Mountain bikes cost around RMB 10 per day，Chinese models cost RVB 5 per day.

Bus-When taking express buses from Xiaguan or Lijiang to Dali；some buses will drop you off at the eastern end of Dali along the highway.You’ll have to flag down a passing car to take you into Dali，RMB 5 for the ride is reasonable.Express bus tickets out of Dali can be purchased from the Dali Passenger Service Ticket Office on Bao’ai Lu or any travel agency on Huguo Lu.You can also purchase tickets for the Xiaguan long-distance bus station in Dali；buses to Kunming are about 8 hours and cost RMB 55.

Taxi-Taxis are RMB 6 at flag-fall.

Train-A leisurely train ride can be pleasant and overnight sleeper trains from Kunming to Dali are popular.Tickets can be arranged through your hotel or travel agent.
