One standout restaurant is the local chain. It stands for tiantian yugang, which translates to something like the“every day fish company.” They work in partnership with the local fisheries and are renowned for their seafood in a town where seafood is a cherished way of life. Otherwise, Dalian’s food is very much in the northeastern mode: hearty meals featuring strong flavors, wheat noodles, cabbage, potatoes, and dumplings.
