2 min readGreat Stone Wave is located in the southern suburb of Anji.It is not far from Shenxi River in Baofu Town.It is about 29 kilometers from the County town of Anji，100 kilometers from Hangzhou，110 kilometers from Huzhou，280 kilometers from Shanghai，and 18 kilometers from the Natural Preservation Area of Dragon King Mountain.It is the largest stone wave of rift valley in Asia.
The Great Stone Wave lies from 300 to 1，200 meters above sea level.In the 1930s，Li Siguang，a famous geologist came here to make an on-the-spot scientific investigation，he concluded that it was the remains ofthe 4th glacial epoch.Great Stone Wave is considered a rarity.It is not only the largest stone wave in Asia，but also an mystic sight.It was said that it was the land of a holy mountain with holy water and rare plants. Many ancient trees and plants were unfamiliar to most visitors. Many kinds of strange flowers and trees blossomed in four seasons.
Located at the middle ranges of Dragon King Mountain, the rift-valley of Shenxi where Great Stone Wave lies is composed of Yangjiao Valley, Laowu Valley and Zhilu Valley. In the deep rift-valley, the fair scenery attracts people, but the enigmas puzzle people greatly. Therefore, the rift-valley is also called “Mystic Valley”. Historically, the valley had been a strategic military pass for thousands of years. Because of its important location, it was a place contested by all strategists. Countless severe battles took place here since ancient times. According to the historical records, some decisive fights happened here changed the Chinese history. It is pity that those wars completely destroyed the place, people hardly find valuable traces to clarify the truth of history. Great Stone Wave covers an area of 2,608 mu. There are many giant stones that are over 100 tons in weight. The giant stones create a formation that resembles the waves in the sea.
When tourists enter this fantastic area, they will find so many boulders of all sizes that they have never seen. The formation of the Great Stone Wave looks like a well-preserved ancient ecological museum. It has been a mystery for all As a mountain scenic spot, it integrates vacationing, climbing, camping and sightseeing.
