1 min readAs the original and greatest ice artwork festival of China,the Harbin Ice Festival attracts a great number of local people and tourists from all over the world.The annual festival was established in 1985,which starts from 5 January and lasts for more than a month.During this period of time,a plenty of ice artworks will be on a show with the best collections of ice artworks being exhibited in 3 main places,namely,the Sun Island Park,Harbin Ice and Snow World,and Zhaolin Park.In the past,ice artworks usually meant ice lanterns that were made by thelocal peasants and fishermen and used as jack-lights during the winter months.
However,nowadays,it refers to a series of arts that use ice and snow as raw material and combine ice art with colored lights and splendid music.
