Guangxi is one of the earliest sites of human activity in China. According to new archeological  reports, chipped stone tools dating back 800, 000 years have been found in the Baise River Valley, traces of Liujiang Man dating back 40, 000-50, 000 years to the Paleolithic Period have been discovered all around Guangxi, primitive humans were living along its rivers 6, 000-9,000 years ago, and human civilization started 3, 000 years ago.

Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220) Guangxi’s name in modern Chinese history has a high recognition rate the largest peasant uprising, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom which broke out in Jintian; the Baise Uprising led by Deng Xiaoping, and the famous Kunlun Pass Campaign in the early period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression all occurred here.
