Khan Tengri Mahavihara

The Khan Tengri Mahavihara is located at the north end of the south Jiefang Road in today’s Urumqi City, left to the Bank of China building. It was expanded again on the original relics in 1987.

Now, it is a double-layer building, with a market on the lower layer and the mosque on the upper layer. There are annular staircases on two sides. The architectural style integrates the Islamic architectural style with the modern architectural style.
