2 min readThe Koyla top is one traditional ball game with extremely strong rivalry and arge mobility, which is similar to the softball in modern sports.
Koyla”means “Fortress”. The appliance for the game comprises the ba and the club. the ball is as big as an apple, made of intertwined thick threads and decorated with colorful embroidery on the surface a peach kernel or an apricot kernel is used as the core of the ball. the club is about 90 cm long. The one who is not hit by the ball from the the “Safe Zone can obtain the batting right again. If the batter misses the ‘ s to catcher of the defensive team during the running process and safely returns to goal or is unable to run after batting the ball not far, he can return to the”Safe Zone”to wait for the batting of the next player to run together. After receiving the ball batted from the player of the offensive team, the player of the defensive team can quickly transfer the ball or directly hit the running player of the offensive team by the ball. When hitting the running player, the player of the defensive team can instantly run towards the Arrival Zone. If the player of the defensive team can return safely the both sides will switch the offense and the defense. this game is limited to only hitting the lower part of the running player.
