1 min readAirport Macao’s airport isn’t very busy, so expect quick turnaround. There are many links to Asian cities and there are helicopter shuttles to Hong Kong. Helicopter shuttles take about 20 minutes and cost around MOP 1, 300. The airport tax is MOP 80 to China and MOP 130 to other destinations.
Bus There are many buses to Zhuhai and Guangzhou via “Barrier Gate.”
Ferry There are numerous options tor heading to Hong Kong and Shenzhen. The fastest us op boats will get you to ong Kong in less than an hour. Ticket prices depend on date and time of travel, but are generally around MOP 150. The ferry dock is at the Macau Ferry Terminal in the Outer Harbor. Passengers should arrive at the dock 30 minutes before departure for customs procedures.
A winding dragon dances its way through Macau on Chinese Year Taxi Taxis are reasonably priced, MOP 20 to 30 for most destinations, but most drivers don’t speak English. There’s a MOP 5 surcharge to Taipa Island and MOP 10 to Coloane Island; flag-fall is MOP 9. Pedi-cabs (tricycles) are restricted to the waterfront area and can be more expensive than taxis, but they’re slow and allow you to soak up the atmosphere. Pedi-cabs are MOP 25 per trip and about MoP 100 for an hour of touring.
