Mountain City-Chongqing

Chongqing，located in the southeast of Sichuan Basin，is an important industrial and economic center as well as a transportation point on the up-per reach of the Yangtze River.In ancient times it was called.Ba.It depends on mountains，so people call it Mountain city.And both in winter and spring，there has always been dense fog here，so it well known as a foggy ciy with a population of over 30 million，Chongqing is the biggest municipal city in China in terms of population.

118AD，Emperor Zhanxian of the Song Dynasty was first made the prince here，and later crowned as the emperor.To celebrated this happy event，he gave the city i’s present name Chongqing that means Double celebrations.As a famous mountain city，it has glorious night scenery with thousands of lights glistening in the river.In the suburbs，there are scenic spots，such as Shiyun Mountain，North Hot spring，Fishing Town and so on.A little far from the city，the remarkable scenic spots are Pipa Moun-tain，Futu pass，Jinyun Mountain，4-sides Mountain，North and South Hot spring，Red rock Village etc.
