In primitive people’s activities such as hunting and worshipping, the earliest folk songs emerged. In 1986,21 bone flutes were unearthed from the Neolithic site of Jiahu Village, Wuyang, Henan. According to scientific measurement, these bone flutes were made 8,000 to 9,000 years ago. With social development, Chinese music became increasingly diversified in form and abundant in content.
Today, traditional music and modern music coexist, classical music and popular music exist together, and Eastern music and Western music are integrated.
