The Niya’s Relics situated in the desert about 150km north of today’s Minfeng County is regarded by the experts as the capital site of Jinjue state in the Western Han Dynasty.

In the 5 century, the rivers were blocked, the residents scattered and the castles were gradually ruined because of years of war. The niya’s relics is 20km long from south to north and over l0km wide from east to west. It can be divided into 6 building groups.

The existing ancient building groups mainly include the pagodas, half-underground -style buildings, single-plank bridges and so on there are also more than 200 relics of ancientwatercourses, ancient channels and ancient roads thousands of precious relics such carpentries, copperware, ironware, stoneware, earthenware, Wuzhu coinsof the eastern Han Dynasty, big and small colorful beads and a large amount of wooden slips inscribed with Chinese and kharoshti were unearthed from the Niya’s Relics.
