Nomad on the Grassland-Kirghizstan
1 min readIn my opinion, the pure and beautiful Issyk-Kul Lake and the honest nomadic people are the most attractive in Kirghizstan. I will be sad to leave here, because I enjoy the scenery with its green grass and the lake which adds radiance and beauty to the landscape. In Kirghizstan, 43% of national territorial area is covered with grassland. Kirghizstan became independent from the Soviet Union in 1991, with Bishkek as its capital. There are more than 80 nationalities in Kirghizstan and the Kirghiz ethnic group accounts for 71% of the population. Main ethnic groups also include Uzbek and Russian. Kirghiz is the national language, while Russian is the official language. The Kirghiz ethnic group in Xinjiang is a cross-border ethnic group. Kirghizstan borders on Xinjiang of China with a boundary of 1,100km. In January of 1992, China and Kirghizstan established diplomatic relations on an ambassadorial level.
In Kirghizstan, its national economy is based on multiple systems of ownership.
However, its industrial base is weak, as their priority is in agriculture and animal husbandry. Only raw materials are mainly produced. Kirghizstan is the second largest trade partner with Xinjiang, and the volume of trade between Xinjiang and Kirghizstar reached USD 4.039 billion in 2012. Kirghizstan is one of the member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the World Trade Organization.
