The Oman Nishahan Memorial Tomb is located in today’s Kashgar City of Xinjiang. Oman Nishahan (1526-1560) was the princess of Amudurexiti Khan and the 15th distinguished Uyghur poetess, who collected and organized the Uyghur classical music Twelve Muqam. She had a strong interest in poetry and music when she was young and she organized and created the masterpiece of Uyghur classical music Twelve Muqam, which was renowned at home and abroad and the rarity of Uyghur Music and Dance Art, through visiting social artists, poets and folk singers, making the folk music become a scientific, systematic and rigorous tracks.
The Oman Nishahan Memorial Tomb, covering an area of 1,050m-and being composed of tomb palace, Aletun as well as connecting with the mosqueas a whole. Meanwhile, the tombs had been built on a square base of 2 meters high,10m wide and 10m long with a height of 22m and a round-tower shape roof inside the Mausoleum Palace. The names of the “Muqam”12 song were inlaid on the walls, which is a typical Islam architecture.
