In the southeast of Zhoushan, there is a diamond shaped island which has a beautiful name-taohua Island (Peach Blossom Island). The name’s origins do not spring from the thousands cres of neach blossoms in Huang Yaos hi’s residence a character in Louis Cha’s novel The Legend of the condor heroes,however,but rather from the legend of a Qin Dynasty hermit named An nasticism in Baiyun Shan, well on his way to becoming untain rock, with the liquid forming the pattern of a name for this island. However, the rock that An spilled aoism, it was named Dafo Rock(Buddha Rock), and hardly known to people, but when the peach blossoms in ha’s novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes, gained a aohua Island was reborn. In 2001, the only island filming base in China a tourist attraction based on The Legend of the Condor Heroes, was established near Dafo Rock complete with a reproduction of Taohua Shanzhaung (Peach Blossom Villa), home of Huang Rong.

On Taohua Island, more famous and attractive than the softness of the peach blossoms, are the mountains and rocks that date back to primitive times. It is full of grotesque jagged rocks, rich varieties of vegetation, numerous kinds of trees and rare flowers, especially the daffodils that export to overseas markets. With an altitude of 539.7 meters, Anqi Peak is the highest peak on the island.

There is a Shengy the le built at an altitude of 460 meters on Angi Peak, and at an altitude of 482 meters, there is the natural cave where An Qisheng practiced his Taoistic monasticism and alchemy. A combination of Taoism, Buddhism and deep valleys, Taohua Island is a place full of mystery.

If that’s what you’re into, then Tawan Jinsha, located to the east of the island. it faces the sea on the east. The golden sands separate the sea and the harbor, creating a natural inland lake on Taohua Island. It is a great place to appreciate the sea views and also suitable for holding beach parties and bbqs. Not far from Tawan Jinsha, many fishermen ply their trade around here. Whether you fish or not, it’s nice to walk around the bay’s footpath and feel the sea breeze on your face.
