The First Pass in Eastern Xinjiang- Master Temple
Master Temple is located in Santanghu Township, Barkol Kazakh Autonomous County, Kumul Prefecture, Xinjiang, bordering upon Govi-Altay Province of Mongolia and opposite to Burgas Port. China and Mongolia governments came to an agreement on June 24, 1991, to open Master Temple-Burgas Port. From 1992 to 2010, the total weight of import and export cargo amounted to 600,000 tons at the Master Temple Port with value of 1.5 billion RMB. In 2011, the total weight of cargo transported at Master Temple port increased to 1,029, 500 tons.
