Qiongtai Academy
1 min readLocated on Wenzhuang Road，in the Qiongshan District of Haikou，Qiongtai Academy was originally built in 1705 to memorize Qiu Jun，a famous scholar of the MinDynasty.Because Qiu Jun was called“Mr.Qiongtai”，so the academy was named so.
The academy was ever the supreme institution of Qiongshan，however，nowadays it becomes the site of the Qiongshan Teachers College.Kuixing Lou Building is main building of the academy.People believed that”Kuixing”was the god of examinations so they give this building the name in order to”help”the students who trained here win out in the imperial examinations.The building features a typical Chinese architecture.
