Second-Class(Local) Ports

Twelve second-class (local government authority) ports are established in succession in Xinjiang, including seven ports in Urumqi. They are as follows: Hualing Market, Nianzigou Passenger Station in Urumqi City, Economic and Technological Development Zone in Urumqi, Frontier Hotel, Trade City, International Locomotive Second-Class Port in Urumqi, Light Industry Base in Western Region of Xinjiang.

Another five second-class ports in open cities in Xinjiang are Yining Port, Tacheng Bus Passenger Terminal, Kuitun Railway Station Comprehensive Wholesale Market in Yazhong Mall of Changji City, and Kashgar (Xinyifa)Second-Class Port. These open ports of the second category are complemen to17 border ports in Xinjiang.the quantity of cargo transported in some second-class ports is more than first-class ports every year, such as Frontier Hotel, Light Industry Base in Western Region, and Kashgar (Xinyifa)Port.
