Sweet sour sauce
1 min readWe have brought our personal,magic touch to this popular sauce by using dried tangerine peel,which adds a distinctive dimension to this British-chinese mainstay.
Makes about 350g
INGREDIENTS
200g sweet chilli sauce
50g tomato ketchup
2 pieces of dried tangerine peel
100ml water
sugar,to taste
white pepper
1.Combine the sweet chilli sauce,tomato ketchup,dried tangerine peel and water in a pan and bring to the boil,then gently simmer for 10 minutes
2.Season to taste with sugar and pepper and leave to cool
3.Store in a sterilized airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a month
