The Educational Thought of Mencius
1 min readMencius was born in the State of Zou.He was also a leader of Confucianism.In fact，people often juxtapose him with Confucius.Mencius’main thought was that“everyone is born righteous.”He believed that people become wicked because of the environment they are in，so the mission of“education”is to arouse the righteousness of human nature.
Although there is no major difference between Confucius’and Mencius’thought，Mencius added a point to Confucianism:concentration and perseverance.In Mencius’opinion，if people concentrated and insisted on learning，there was nothing they could not accomplish.
