Tianfeng Tower is in the center of Ningbo.Tianfeng Tower，originally built in the Tang Dynasty，was once the symbol of Ningbo.The tower is surrounded by a small garden scattered with a few trees and benches.The tower is 51 meters high，and has 14 levels including the underground palaces.
Climbing the staircases，you will reach the top of the tower.But the higher you climb，the narrower the staircases become.In the tower，there are some relics remained.The remains can be classified into mainly four categories，consisting of boxes and barrels of cultural relics，coins from the ancient dynasties as well as inscription bricks.
In December 1981，Tianfeng Tower was listed as a municipal protected historic site by the Ningbo Municipal People’s Government.And it is now a state protected historic site.
