Wring Stitch is very similar to Braid Stitch for most of the parts of braiding, paper cut, with braiding and wrinkling stitches, except for the final section of process when the braid is twisted and turned to form a knot and a series of knots forming pattern from rim to center.
There are less Miao people knowing this technique, and they are concentrated in Leishan County.
Straight Needle Stitch
Straight Needle Stitch works have the natural and fresh looks, with the paper cut figure on the cloth to embroider with and stitching along the contour with this technique and finally the paper cut is taken away upon finishing.
The skills used in this technique is the single color line and the needle pulls the lines from reverse side to surface and retreat 2-3mm and goes down again and goes forward for5-6 mm before resurfacing again. This round of embroidering is repeated until the work is done. Straight Needle works are the best when they are evenly stitched smoothly.
