1 min readLocated about 6 miles away from Hohhot,Zhaojun Tomb is on the plain stretching from the Southern bank of the Dahei River. The tomb is also called“green tomb” because of the green grass on.It is listed as one of the eight most popular scenic spots in Hohhot. The tomb is a huge human-made earthen mound, which is about 108 feet in height. The tome is for commemorating a great woman called Wang Zhaojun, one of the four most beautiful ladies in ancient China, who sacrificed her happiness for the unity of China by marrying Khan. The tomb is well-known for its fabulous scenery. The summer days here are mild, and the wild flowers and grasses growing in abundance together with the towering green trees make a wonderful natural picture.
When autumn creeps in September, the grass on the tomb still keeps green and vigorous, unlike grasses shriveled and turned yellow in other places at this time of the year.
It is located on the southern bank of the Dahei River in the south suburb of Hohhot,9 kilometers from downtown.
